Beginning Labor Day Weekend (Sept 1) through the end of September we will be migrating customers over to a new set of data centers. For most customers, this migration will result in downtime of no more than 5 minutes. The maintenance window will be from Midnight to 6 AM Eastern Time.
During the update window visitors to your instance will see the message: "System Update in Progress, please return in 5 minutes".
We will reach out to customers where the projected downtime exceeds 5 minutes and ensure the migration is scheduled in advance.
Our mission is to avoid downtime, even during maintenance. The nature of this kind of infrastructure update does require us to stop traffic to your site for a few minutes. After this maintenance window is complete, we do not expect to need to perform an infrastructure that requires downtime the next 3 years.
